JAZZ.FM91 presents a special 2-night series showcasing the fab-four who took the music world by storm with JAZZ.FM91’s Thinkers Series.  Highly acclaimed lecturer, Scott Freiman returns to Toronto featuring ‘Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Deconstructing the Early Beatles’ on Thursday, February 19th and ‘Tomorrow Never Knows: Deconstructing the Beatles’ Revolver’ on Friday, February 20th at the TIFF Bell Lightbox.

Launched in 2013, the JAZZ.FM91 Thinkers Series is an interactive lecture series showcasing preeminent speakers who share their knowledge and expertise on pivotal moments in pop culture.  Combining his knowledge of the Beatles with his career as a composer, producer and educator, Scott Freiman delivers unique lectures deconstructing the music of the Beatles.  His entertaining multimedia presentations about their composition and production techniques, have sold out theatres across the country.  In the fall of 2012, Freiman taught a semester course on the music of the Beatles at Yale University; in addition to lecturing at corporations such as Pixar, Google and Facebook.

On February 19th Beatles expert, Scott Freiman traces the birth of the Beatles from their days as the Quarrymen to their first visit to EMI Studios.  Deconstructing their first hit singles, from ‘Love Me Do’ and ‘Please Please Me’ to I ‘Want to Hold Your Hand’, you can expect great stories about the composition and production of their music and more.

Tomorrow Never Knows: Deconstructing The Beatles’ Revolver:

Fans are taken into the studio with the fab-four as they create their seminal 1966 album – Revolver.  Using rare audio and video clips, including anecdotes about the creation of songs such as ‘Eleanor Rigby’, ‘Yellow Submarine’ and ‘Tomorrow Never Knows’, Freiman will explore the groundbreaking production techniques that created this landmark piece of music history on February 20th.
