Continuing this year is the program of VQA wine sales at the local market. Returning vendor, Georgian Hills Vineyards had its products for sale and will soon be joined by other local wineries and cideries.  All invite you to sample the offerings before you buy.

‘Farm to Table Live’ presents weekly chef demos. Watch the chef cook with ingredients purchased at the market and you can learn how to shop and eat locally using fresh foods. Sample a new dish every week and take home the recipe to try it out yourself.

New this year…‘Magic at the Market’…. a weekly children’s creative art centre presented by Magic of Children in the Arts. It is an interactive way to make the market a family event.

The Collingwood Downtown Farmers’ Market is a member of Farmers’ Markets Ontario and prides itself in adhering to the guidelines of the 100 mile market, featuring only produce grown within 100 miles of the market location, to promote buying local and eating healthy. The market participants must produce their wares or harvest their goods; making this a true Farmers’ Market.

With the Market being owned and operated by the Collingwood Downtown BIA, it also is able to permit any and all businesses within the Downtown boundaries to participate in the market. It’s a wonderful opportunity for different retailers, food service and other service businesses that are located downtown to promote their business and allow visitors to the market to get a sampling of the wonderful things our downtown offers and provides.

The Collingwood Downtown Farmers’ Market offers the best in local produce, farm fresh products, baked goods and local hand crafted goods. As the growing season becomes more fruitful, so does the variety of the goods available at the market.

If you haven’t already, plan on making Collingwood Downtowns Farmers’ Market part of your weekly activities. What better way to start your weekend then in Downtown Collingwood!
