When I was a kid, my sister Connie and I would play the “Donny and Marie Show” in the basement of our family home.
Of course I was Donnie and my sister played Marie.
We would use our mother’s broom as a microphone and sing and dance away for hours at a time.
We didn’t do it for any reason other than to make music and play. There wasn’t ever a specific purpose or point to our dancing and singing.
We just did it for no particular reason at all…
So what does this have to do with Meditation you wonder? People are asking questions like this about Meditation: “What’s the reason for it, what’s the purpose of doing it?”
Practicing Meditation reminds me of what dancing and music is truly all about.
It’s something that we can enjoy doing without having to be the “fastest” the “best” or the “strongest” – In dancing, the art and movement is such a fun and special expereince and journey….
Simply enjoying where the music and dance takes us is exactly the point…
