With the extremely cold weather we’ve been experiencing recently in Collingwood, several areas in our community are experiencing frozen water services.
As of this morning, there have been 172 reports of frozen services, with 121 of those occurring since Friday, February 20. There have been 71 temporary connections made, leaving 101 homes currently without water.read more

On September 1, 2015, the rules of the road will be updated to help keep Ontarians safe. Changes include tougher penalties for distracted driving, new rules to protect cyclists and measures to ensure the safety of tow truck drivers and children riding school buses.
Please come to observe the facilities and meet the staff. The OPDL teams will have access to the ultra-modern Fitness and Conditioning areas guided by highly trained personnel. The facility includes a newly built FIFA size grass soccer field, indoor turf training field, NBA standard gymnasiums, conference and video facilities, meeting rooms, outdoor basketball courts, a sand field, restaurant, ample parking, full-time maintenance team and administration, nutritionists, chiropractor, health care advisors and student counsellors. Later this year, work will begin on a player hostel at the premises.
“The name George Christie is well known and has been synonymous with trails in this Town,” said Trails Committee Chair Murray Knowles. “As a result of that, the Trails Committee felt that it would be appropriate to put something concrete on the trails network to recognize that.”
