Canadians will be lead by Collingwood, Ontario’s Erin Mielzynski and Erik Read, of Calgary.

The races will be live streamed on cbc.ca/sports (see times below).

Marie-Michèle Gagnon, of Lac-Etchemin, Que., and Laurence St-Germain (St-Ferréol-les-Neiges, Que.) round out the Canadian women’s team, while Read is joined by Phil Brown (Toronto) and Trevor Philp (Calgary).

“With the recent cancellation of Sölden, there’s extra anticipation for the World Cup circuit to kick off this weekend in Levi for the men,” said Read. “It’s been a long prep period, and the Canadian team is ready to get racing!”

Added Mielzynski: “I’ve been working hard to make some positive changes to my skiing and I’m proud to see these changes taking shape,” she said. “Leading into the race, I am staying calm, trusting my skiing and finding my race mode. I’m excited to bring my best skiing forward and enjoying the beginning of the season.”
