Renowned wellness experts speaking in Collingwood
Wellness experts Dr. Greg Wells and Dr. Elaine Chin are coming to Collingwood on Thursday, April 28, to speak with local business owners about the opportunities in the health and wellness sector in the near future.
At the Historic Gayety Theatre on April 28 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Dr. Wells will begin the session by speaking about High Performing Health and Wellbeing Communities. Dr. Chin will follow with a presentation on Personalized Medicine and Wellness: What can communities do?
Dr. Wells is an assistant professor in kinesiology at the University of Toronto (U of T) and an associate scientist of physiology and experimental medicine at The Hospital for Sick Children (Sick Kids). He has been visiting the Collingwood area for years to bike and ski, and he is excited by the special combination of water, food, nature, and opportunities for movement that the beautiful landscape creates.
Dr. Chin is the Chief Wellness Officer at TELUS Communications and Founder of Executive Health Centre, a personalized medicine medical practice in Toronto. Her primary focus has been to deliver world-class wellness programs to Canadians by integrating digital health technology and the science of precision medicine.
Following the presentations, the two doctors will discuss how their insights can apply to the businesses, communities, and organizations here in South Georgian Bay.
This event is part of the Business in Motion Speaker Series, which launched last fall with a session from world-renowned speaker, Canadian economist, demographer, and best-selling author, Dr. David Foote.
