SAMANTHA MARTIN_DELTA SUGAR

Jazz & Blues at The Station 2017

At the inaugural Jazz & Blues concert July 4th, 2007 the Fig Leaf Jazz Band entertained an audience of 65 fans. WOW!

Last summer the 2016 concert series averaged over 400 fans an evening. The fabulous growth of this signature Collingwood Summer event is based on a great mix of accessible first class music that transcends genres.

Modern day music grew from the roots of Blues, Jazz, Country and Gospel and those roots show up every Wednesday evening at the Museum/Station during the Collingwood summer.

Great music and superb sound production in an intimate park-like setting makes for a memorable evening. Excellent food and beverages raise the enjoyment level another few notches and with a beautiful sunset over Georgian Bay, it is certainly a wonderful experience.

The series is presented by the Collingwood Jazz & Blues Society, produced by JBG Productions and supported by a group of generous local sponsors, RBC Dominion Securities, Balmoral Village, SideLaunch Breweries, The Town of Collingwood, Collingwood Web Design, our Patrons and people like you.

No admission charge but donations are encouraged and the hat is passed at intermission.

Every Wednesday June 28-August 23   6 pm to 8 pm

Samantha Martin & Delta Sugar.

SAMANTHA MARTIN & DELTA SUGAR
Samantha Martin is an artist of extraordinary power and deep-seated emotion.
While Martin is a powerhouse unto herself, Delta Sugar is not the work of a single talent. In combination with her “co-vocalists”, Sherie Marshall and Stacy Tabb, (as opposed to backup vocalists), this outstanding creation of music draws on black gospel and southern soul with a hint of roots country. The vocal blend Samantha and Delta Sugar produces is pure, unadulterated magic where the sum is even richer than the already soul-melting parts.
