Austin McCarthy

Austin McCarthy is at it again

Balancing full time studies throughout the summer, a full time co op position in the finance department at ABB Engineering, committee work on JMSB Sports conference and being on the Entrepreneur Case Competition Team, he still manages to continue writing music and playing the odd club around Montreal.

While back in Collingwood at the end of the summer for a week, he laid down the bed tracks for three new demos. He flew home for Thanksgiving and the following weekend home again to open for The River Town Saints, in those weekends, he managed to get two of the three finished. The first song, Oh Marie, has full back up with Nick Liefl on bass, Bruce Campbell on drums and Mike Racioppa on the organ and is sure to take you to the streets of the big city.

Georgia, the second, is an sweet introspective acoustic tune bound to get you smiling. Both Georgia and Oh Marie can be heard on all the local radio stations but we recommend visiting his website at austinmccarthymusic.ca to have a listen now.

When Austin is back December you can see and hear him live at Gustav’s on December 17 and The Huron Club on December 21st.
