Chief Hydration Officer,
Darryl is a previous Dragons’ Den contestant and winner of the “Audience Choice Award”! Darryl took his idea that was pitched to the Dragons’ and now runs an extremely successful business within the Municipality of Meaford as well as offering his services internationally.
Darryl is always looking for ways to improve upon products and processes, and that has helped Quench Buggy evolve into what it is today. Darryl has a background in Mechanical Engineering, and has worked with various automotive related companies in positions such as Industrial Engineer, Applications Engineer and Launch Facilitator. Darryl then decided to move on to work in the family business in customer service which is where the idea for Quench Buggy was hatched. We are so pleased to have a former contestant join us this year as a Dragon and look forward to his feedback for this year’s contestants.

Cindys parents – Horst and Elizabeth Reinheimer, started the company in 1986 and Cindy assumed the Presidency in 2005 and has now doubled the portfolios being managed. Cindy’s daughter and daughter in law are now being trained to take over and become the third generation to run the company.
Cindy’s business rules – a good base are the building blocks for any business and their success. Develop procedures and protocols that can handle any and all situations, and more clients/orders than you can ever expect. By doing this, as your business grows, the systems can handle the influx, with little change. Keep your business and personal finances completely separate and watching the money is just as important as the service or the items being supplied.
Cindy lives in Meaford, close to her parents, children and grandchildren.
GM- Bayshore Broadcasting
Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal Winner and GM of Bayshore Broadcasting’s 8 Radio Stations in South Central Ontario, Ross is a highly regarded business person in the community.
Past President of the Ontario Association of Broadcasters, Past Chair of Community Foundation Grey Bruce, a Lifetime Achievement Award: The Radio-Television News Directors Associate of Canada and a voice you’d recognize in an instant barely begins to describe Ross and his community spirit and accomplishments within our area.
A true local gem, Ross lives in Meaford with his wife Ruth Ann.
Rick Lorenz is part of a wave of dynamic young entrepreneurs who represent the future of business in Meaford. Rick’s management philosophy is to lead by example, build strong relationships with clients and the community, and to always be on the lookout for new technologies to provide a competitive edge. Prior to opening Meaford Pharmacy, Rick planned and implemented massive improvements to Collingwood General and Marine Hospital’s Pharmacy department. These improvements included automated medication stations, and a new system for collecting patient’s medication histories that dramatically reduced the rates of medication errors.
In 2015, Rick founded Meaford Pharmacy with fellow pharmacist Tundra Lee. Although the pharmacy profession was experiencing significant changes in government regulation, and the climate was one of uncertainty, Rick saw unique opportunities for a start-up to thrive. By using the same skills that re-vamped Collingwood Hospital’s pharmacy systems, Rick designed an efficient dispensary that gives patients unprecedented access to their pharmacist. Today, Meaford Pharmacy is known for pairing expert clinical advice with friendly, small-town service and is one of Meaford’s fastest-growing businesses.
Rick is a firm believer that it is everyone’s responsibility to give back to their community and to help society at large.
