Craigleith Ski Club
3rd Annual Track 3 Friends and Family Race Day
Discovering Ability through the Magic of Adaptive Snow Sports
The perfect event for individuals, families, groups and corporations to enjoy a fun filled day of skiing and snowboarding regardless of skill or experience.
There are over 100 kids on the Track 3 waiting list. Money raised at this event will help purchase adaptive equipment, train volunteers and sponsor kids who deserve the opportunity to experience the joy and thrill of alpine snow sports.
This fun-packed day includes transportation, skiing at Ontario’s premier ski club, lunch, fun races, après ski and awards – all while raising funds for a great cause!
Beginner Race: 11:00 am – 12:00 pm on Little John
A great format for those who haven’t raced before. This is a “Guess Your Time” format allowing skiers of every level to experience the thrill of running gates without any pressure. Participants will run through a GS style course on the Little John run, be told their time, and then guess their time for the second run. Medals will be awarded to those whose second run time comes closest to their guess. No need to pre-register for this race – just show up at the start at the top of Little John between 11:00 am and 11:45 am.
GS Race: 1:00 pm on Big John
Best of 2 run format time permitting. Participants must pre-register for this race when they purchase their tickets.
Young & Old Team
All racers participating in the Individual GS race are eligible to have their results entered in a team competition. Racers under the age of 18 can pair with an adult racer for the team event. Adults are permitted to be the “old” half of more than one team if they are pairing with more than one of their kids. No pre-registration is necessary – you can sign up at the check-in desk on Race Day.
Not a skier or snowboarder? Guided snowshoe tours will be available on the beautiful and extensive trail network at Craigleith. Departing from the Base Lodge front patio, you will enjoy the panoramic views of Georgian Bay while covering portions of the Bruce Trail through serene forest settings. Snowshoes and equipment rentals are available at Squire Johns facility located right beside the lodge.Wear warm layered clothing, comfortable hiking boots or shoes and consider taking a pair of ski poles with you for additional balance and support. We recommend that you bring a change of clothing for the après activities in the lodge.
Sit Ski Rides
Experience the thrill of adaptive skiing in a Para-Athlete Sit Ski. Sign up for a sit ski ride with the assistance of a certified Track 3 sit-ski coach!
Ski & Snowboard Lessons
Learn from a Pro. Beginner ski and snowboard lessons will be available at the base of Little John at 10:00 am.
Great raffle prizes where almost every ticket wins. Live auctions. Meet the Para Athletes and cheer on your favorite racer or team. So whether you are a corporate group, a family or just a ski lover, we hope you will join us.
